Take US Back Now-We Need To Create The Paradigm-Shift

Take US Back Now-We Need To Create The Paradigm-Shift: "Take US Back Now-We Need To Create The Paradigm-Shift
The US is Not The Nation It Once Was! Its not about petty partisan politics. We cant complain or vote it away because its us. How we think, talk act, and fail to create, innovate, and take chances. We need to amplify our voices, and lead the paradigm-shift."

Congress Now Trying To Outlaw Reporting On Government Corruption

Congress Now Trying To Outlaw Reporting On Government Corruption: "Lawmakers are pushing legislation through Congress that will criminalize reporting on illegal activities and corruption in the US government.

Just when you thought the United States government couldn’t sink any lower our beloved politicians in Washington have introduced legislation that will criminalize reporting on US government secrets.

What makes this new legislation shocking is that we have seen the US government repeatedly use the “State Secrets” and the “National InSecurity card to suspend the Constitution at will to commit a wide variety of heinous activities"

About | Ipstenu.Org

About | Ipstenu.Org: "gamer-geek Jew who lives in Chicago, works on computers, and has pets. I travel and blog about it, I’m a Libertarian/Green Party/ACLU supporting kind of person, who wants to live as green as I can. That’s why I have a hybrid.

Yes, that picture is me (and it’s the one I use for my avatar pretty much everywhere as I’m a stickler for consistency). I host four websites here. This one (duh), Jorja Fox: Online (for the actress Jorja Fox)"

If you need help with my plugins etc, post on the appropriate plugin page. From there, we may go to email, but I feel that since most problems are repeated, it’s better to have a public record. You can also post on the WordPress forums and I’ll get to those."

Writer's Block - Writing Tips - "Whether or Not"

Writer's Block - Writing Tips - "Whether or Not": "
Writing Tips

"Whether or Not"

According to Fowler's Modern English Usage (see note), "whether or not" is not strictly incorrect. The pertinent article acknowledges that "whether or not" can be a legitimate contraction of "whether it will or will not". Nevertheless, you should avoid the construction, as it is less often used than abused.

There are three scenarios to consider when avoiding the use of "whether or not"."

Don't Use WordPress MultiSite | Ipstenu on Tech

Don't Use WordPress MultiSite | Ipstenu on Tech: "When Your Site is Homogenous

Do you want your whole network to look and feel 100% the same? Don’t use MultiSite. If every single subsite is going to be exactly the same, except for content, but the content is all written the same way, you don’t need MultiSite. Replicating the theme and settings on every subsite is a pain, and you can achieve the same result with categories, tags and CPTs. You can even use a membership plugin to control who sees, and has access to, each CPT! 3"

Don't Use WordPress MultiSite | Ipstenu on Tech: " That means the only ‘information’that is shared between two sites is your user ID, and even then, unless you’re explicitly granted access to the site, you’re nothing more than a subscriber. Which is to say you can read the site, and comment. 1 That means that while there are many perfectly valid reasons for having a MultiSite, it will never be a perfect solution for all people.

Welcome to Ipstenu.org | Ipstenu.Org: "Who am I? That’s a long answer. This site is a personal blog for a blogger who’s been on the net since the days of dedicated terminals and Novation CAT modems and solved Missionaries and Cannibals before I was six.

You can also hear me talk about programing, tech things and software or see my rather sporadically updated photo blog."

Don't Use WordPress MultiSite | Ipstenu on Tech

Don't Use WordPress MultiSite | Ipstenu on Tech: "MultiSite, either by intention or effect, works best when you think of it as running your very own version of WordPress.com. You have a network of sites that are disconnected from each other, data wise, but share the same available user base. That means the only ‘information’that is shared between two sites is your user ID, and even then, unless you’re explicitly granted access to the site, you’re nothing more than a subscriber."
